Maruthi is one director in Tollywood who in recent times has had a meteoric rise. Debuting with smash hit Ee Rojullo, Maruthi then went on to make Bus Stop which was also a commercial success.
He then turned producer introducing his associate and cameraman Prabhakar Reddy as director for Prema Katha Chitram which was a runaway hit. His latest film Romance introducing Swami, as a director, disappointed, yet Maruti is flooded with offers as a director.
Speaking to the media Maruthi replied to a question that he had no dream project or film in mind as such. However, it was always his dream to direct Pawan Kalyan, he said.
'Pawan Kalyan is my dream hero. He has the ability to take even a normal movie to extraordinary levels with his style of acting which is really unique.
I hope I will be able to direct him one day,' he signed off. Maruthi is currently directing Allu Sirish in a movie which is produced by Allu Aravind.
